Where is everyone? HKRI our dictator is running business as usual. What is important to realise is that forcing HKRI to act sensibly and responsibly is good for the community and also property values.
Next target should the the Residents club, now known as Recreation club. Badly run, dirty, terrible food and beverages, lousy service..., and they recently have given themselves the right to give away as many free memberships as they see fit - recourse? Zero... Not thrilled about subsidising every Tom Dick and Harry that works for HKRI and monopoly subsidiaries (Transport, management etc). $3000 deposit per a/c and
$5000 to transfer the compulsory $15000 debenture that EVERY unit and house contributes means they have a cash deposit approaching HK$150,000,000 BEFORE they take a single cent in fees, F & B etc.... and its still so badly run. Bring on the Anti-Monopoly laws already through LegCo and lets organise to bring some sanity and quality.
May I suggest we seek ICAC to look into awarding of contracts in DB? There is a lot of work done that seems unnecessary, is expensive, badly managed, lengthy, and of course is paid for by the residents/owners. Who awards the contracts? Who checks to see what prices are offered and if they are current with comparable contracts in other sites in HK?
Next question, which genius ordered several extra ferries (that sit rusting) at the same time as they dug a tunnel? We pay extra for ferries because they are completely incompetent (or corrupt)?
When will they realise that good management means happy residents and better profits?
